Announcing “The Lets Meet On Alton” January 2015 month long event.
The goal of the “Let’s Meet On Alton” event is to bring local Miami Beach residents back to the front doors of Alton Businesses. Businesses from Dade Boulevard to 5th Street will host a “shop local” type event. Participating business will be offering discounts and promotions limited to the event dates.
As a means to make living and shopping easier on Alton Road/ West Avenue corridor during the Alton Road construction project, ARBA helped lead the charge to get the City of Miami Beach to implement a free trolley system for local shoppers and residents. The Alton Road trolley shuttle runs from 5th St. at Lennox, north to Lincoln Rd., with the northbound leg being on Alton and the southbound leg on West.
There’s An App For That
Iphone and Android mobile users can get real time information on trolley location with the free app available for each platform. With the app, riders of the trolley can view the entire route, see the stops and follow along with the real-time location of each bus on the route.
